Synopsis
Author and rehabilitator Terry Masear wants to save every injured hummingbird in Los Angeles. Terry welcomes the most fragile patients through his volunteer hummingbird rescue operation, but the road to survival is fraught with uncertainty and drama. Throughout Sally Aitken’s intimate and moving documentary, we relate to Terra’s hummingbird patients—including Cactus, Jimmy, Wasabi, Raisin, and Mikhail—as they celebrate their small victories and mourn their small tragedies. Through the eyes of America’s busiest bird rehabilitator, each bird becomes unforgettable, powerful, and heroic.
